Alcohol in hold baggage?
Can you put alcohol in hold baggage? DH brought a bottle of vodka here and hasn't drunk it (bar one glass)! Seems a shame not to take it home  plus its in a plastic rather than glass container so wont break either! Would we be ok to out it in hold baggage (if it's wrapped to stop it in any way leaking on clothes etc)? I could just make him drink it all before Monday but he still needs to take me shopping tomorrow and wouldn't be fit if he drank all this :d::d:! :wavey:

A friend of mine recently tried to bring some alcohol back from Tenerife in her hand luggage - she got caught and had to hand it over, so I would say don't risk it !

It would be fine in your hold luggage as long as you are not exceeding your allowance.

Sorry ! misread your post, in that case then I think you should be fine  |
I regularly bring plastic bottles of Whiskey in hold luggage... never had an issue with leakage or anything!

Yes it's fine, we bring a bottle of vodka back in hold luggage for father in laws fathers day present, will do the same this year but will save it for his Christmas present this time

We brought a bottle of Southern Comfort home, once in hold luggage and the bottle leaked, the smell when the case was opened was, ... something to be missed... I Would wrap it in a towel to protect it and be careful with what else you have in the case.
