Welcome to The Bare Necessities Trip Report

I’m Abby and we went to Orlando at the end of July 2019. As usual on the trip were my husband David, Max (14) and Kate (12). We’ve been to Orlando before ;)

But this trip was different as we had my parents Jac and Tom with us, they will be referred to as Mum and Dad or Grandma and Grandad interchangeably throughout the report as I daresay I will struggle to stick with just Mum and Dad. I was so excited to take them with us as this was their first time to WDW :d:

We flew with BA from Gatwick on 30th July 2019. We had 14 nights at POFQ with the DDP and then 2 nights at RPR.

Setting off for Orlando ourselves now...I'm reading this on the train to Gatwick. Hope our flight is a little smoother! Sounds like a roller coaster ride. Have a great time.

It was fine for the first 9 hours...then we spent a bit of time circling MCO as there was lightning the approach was like being on tower of terror, seriously no word of a lie. There were multiple drops, children were crying, adults were screaming. Then we landed and of course everyone clapped. I've never had that bad a descent anywhere :erm:

I'm sure your flight will be fine. Have a fantastic holiday :wavey:
