Hi!
Bit of a newbie here so please excuse my silly questions!
I booked our trip for April 2020 last week and I have only received an invoice so far from Disney by email. I haven't received an actual confirmation which I was assuming I would get.

Anyway, what I was wondering as no one from Disney has advised me, how do we receive our magic bands and the gift cards that were given away at the time of booking? Will they be sent to us or do we have to pick them all up at the hotel on the day of arrival? We're coming from the UK.

Your written confirmation should arrive in a couple of weeks, but I wouldn't worry too much as long as you've got your email confirmation. Give them a call in a couple of weeks though if you haven't received it, just for peace of mind.

Have you set up a My Disney Experience account yet? If not, then you need to do that, and then you can link your resort reservation to there - that makes it all a lot more real!

You'll get your magic bands when you check in. On MDE you can choose colours for each member of your party and choose a name or nickname to be printed on the bands.

Unless it changes for 2020, you will receive a voucher from Disney with your final documents that you need to take to World of Disney at Disney Springs to exchange for the gift card.

I do have a Disney account and have tried linking it but so far it's not working. I was told it should work in a week or two so fingers crossed!

Regarding the magic bands do we not need them for the bus transfer at the airport?

It can take a little while for it to link up to MDE, but it will do.

No, you don't need the magic bands to get the Disney Magical Express from the airport. People who have them like US guests whose bands are shipped out to them or people who've been before, can use them, but they're not necessary. Just book the DME online and then have your confirmation email and/or Disney booking reference number handy for when you get to the check in desks and they'll get you on the next coach to your resort.

I booked 2 rooms. One I received invoice and confirmation but the other I only received invoice. I would call them. My payment for the deposit was stuck between my bank and theirs.
