What do your kids call you?
This kind of follows on from another thread of Grandparents names...
My girls 9+12 call us Mummy and Daddy, though oldest is getting a bit self conscious around friends. Before I had kids I called my parents Mother and Daddy. I admit it sounds stupid hearing a grown women calling her father Daddy but just really don't like Mum and Dad. I now refer to my parents by Granny and Paba mostly, as with my girls. I don't want my girls to call me Mum but appreciate they don't/won't want to use Mother or Mummy. I really want them to call me by my name or abbreviate to 'H'. But oldest and husband are dead set against this as my oldest daughter says it sounds like I'm not her real Mummy. Sometimes this would be a bonus in my opinion 🤣. My 9 year old calls me 'aye, aye captain' sometimes though not sure how this started or how others view this 🤣🤣🤣 Do your kids call you anything 'alternative '. Polite answers only please 😉 xx |
