4th july
we will be here on the 4th july and recommendations where to go please giving the parks a miss

Bumping this as interested too!
We are going to Discovery Cove, basically because (a) we love it and (b) because the limited number of admissions will hopefully mean it won't seem too busy even on 4th July
This really isnt an answer to your question as I presume you are staying in Orlando. A good few years ago we were in Naples for the 4th of July we spent the night on the beach where there were amazing fireworks and lots of entertainment. About 5 miles out to sea there was the most amazing Lightning storm. My now 23+ year olds still talk about it

Also looking for ideas/recommendations for 4th July. Wondering how busy the steak houses will be in Orlando?
We avoid the parks (mega busy) and go shopping to the outlets. We then have dinner booked at California Grill to watch the July 4th fireworks from the balcony.
We are there too going to avoid the parks.is there any local parks that anyone can recommend where there will be events going on where locals go like the old town etc.Don't fancy driving too far from orlando
Just seen the winter park info might look into that
We are thinking of going to Cape Kennedy space centre, reports that it may be quieter than the other parks on July 4th
Winter park looks good but just seen its north of Disney and around 40 minutes from Davenport where we're staying. Might see if there's anything nearer.
