but got a question about magic bands

i am not staying on site this year but would like to get a magic band
i am sure someone has said on here that you can get one at MCO disney ?
where abouts is it ?

you will find MagicBands at the Earport. That's the Disney store inside the Airport Lobby (where there is the big fountain, the hotel and the large US flag on the wall).

note that there is a 10% surcharge for any purchase made at the airport

Alternatively - buy one night at the Disney Campground for around $60

This gives you free magic bands and 2 days free parking AND 60 days out Fastpass bookings

Works out cheaper than buying separately.

You need to book on the US Disney website and pick up the bands on the morning (make sure you have photo ID with you)

i would say you have to go to the camp ground to pick it up ?

too get the use of the 2 days free parking i am best picking it up on the 4 day i am there (i do two parks on two days )

You've got to go in the morning of the first day - some peeps go really early (7am) to maximise the 2 days - they won't give you it the night before unfortunately.

You need photo ID to pickup - I left my driver licence at the main hotel and had to sweet talk my way past the security guard!

You pre-order the magic band colours and names on the mydisney website - this opens up as soon as you've made a booking at the campground.

Once at the desk - they will book you in and hand over the magic bands and parking pass - make sure you leave the parking pass in your car window/dashboard

It also opens up the fastpass window 60 days before your 1st day at the campground - so we did this on our 1st day there to try and get reservations for FOP

well it was a great idea but its been shot down in flames :omg::grin:

nothing available at the moment for the 04/03/18 and the price has shot up to $92

will check again but look like its buy it at the airport
unless you can buy them in the parks (my first park is epcot)

when trying to go on the US Disney site how do you stop it switching back to UK?

I just make sure I've clicked on the United States option at the top of the page - then when searching for the accommodation click on the link next to the accommodation and it seems to stay on the US site for me!

i have tried again and got a price of $103.50 for 4to5 march
thats the best i can get
so say $30 for a magic band and 2 days parking $70 about so not worth it
if i was there in feb yup its $67 + tax
