New Cirque du Soleil Show coming to Disney Springs

inline imageDisney announced earlier in the year that "La Nouba", the current Cirque du Soleil show that has been running for nearly 20 years would see it's final performance on New Years eve 2017.

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts are working on a new show. The new show will pay homage to Disney’s rich history of animation, with a vivid story told in a way that only Cirque du Soleil can deliver.

Daniel Lamarre, President and CEO of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, elaborated, sharing “We are incredibly inspired by Disney’s immense creative universe. We are convinced that bringing Disney’s magic to life on stage will touch audiences and bring them back to their childhood.”

No announcement has been made as to when the new show will open but the DIBB will be sure to keep you informed as soon as we have news on a date.

I imagine it will be out of commission for at least 9-12 months, unless they've been writing the new show, composing the music, and retraining all of their performers for the past 2 years.

Of course, I hope I am wrong, as I am also visiting in April... haha.

haha, I assume it would be like October at the earliest. You never know though !

My thoughts exactly, we're going Easter and wanted to go to the current show until the closure was announced.

Same here. Fingers crossed for August. But I also would assume a longer period of downtime :(

Seems to me, it’s another reason to return once it opens 😉
