Intermediate v standard
 
Hi
There will be only two of us travelling so a intermediate is fine but does anyone know if the spec is much higher on a standard

Same spec just a bigger vehicle... like a focus compared to a Mondeo
Golf to a passat etc etc

I'm not 100% certain on this, maybe someone can clarify? If you book a standard car via Alamo, they'll upgrade you to a full size car. Again not 100% sure, but I don't think they have a standard lane.

In practice it’s not quite as simple as that. Whilst Economy is Fiesta size, and Compact is Focus size, intermediate and standard are often the same mid-sized cars with Standard priced a bit more. It varies between the company and location but basically they just give what mid-sized they’ve got in. Full size is the next clear size up.
