Medical Treatment in Orlando

My son has a fractured wrist and is sporting a cast. We might have to get a new one fitted whilst on holiday according to our local fracture clinic.

Can anyone advise on medical facilities near Disney World?

I found this one on a quick search https://www.buenavistaurgentcare.com/

I'll be speaking to insurance company shortly, I imagine any medical attention is expensive over there.

Hi,

Not sure about places near to Disney World. We had to take our child to hospital via ambulance last Easter. He went to a local one and then was taken to the big one in Orlando city. He's all fine though thankfully. We did also visit a clinic behind Universal.

There are lots around, I would just suggest you check with travel insurance company to make sure its covered first. They should also be able to tell you which clinics/hospitals you should visit whilst there.

Hope it goes well!

Also check if you need a fit to fly certificate/letter from GP/hospital, not sure when you go.

Thanks for replies

The situation is much better now and no intended medical attention will be required.

My Mum has to have regular blood tests and her medications adjusted when we were there one year. We booked an appointment at the hospital at Celebration. It was very easy and a really nice hospital.
