Air New Zealand

We been looking at flights from Heathrow to Los Angeles with Air New Zealand flying a Premium Economy. Has anyone done this please and what were the pros and cons?

We flew Air New Zealand to LA back in 2012, we were in economy and I think it was probably one of the best economy flights we have been on.

Crew was helpful, food was reasonable and the price was good.

I flew LHR to LAX and back again earlier this year in business class and was was by far the best ever flight ever - crew were great and even in economy they can convert a row of 3 seats into a sky double bed for 2. Spacious modern aircraft, huge toilets (and I mean huge - loads of room to get changed etc and one has 2 windows !) - will fly with them again as first choice if the price is right oh and you earn virgin miles too with them

We're these the Econ Sky Seats that used the footrests? We won one in a competion and they were v small for 2 people to share! No room for your legs, DD got cramp it wasn't great, just hilarious at times trying to get in and out
😂🤣🙄 No wonder they've gone them!
I certainly would get the best seats you can afford. We did Virgin PE which was great for the long flight.

We’ve used them twice now, they have changed the pe seats since we last went but they were very comfortable and the best service I’ve had on a plane, we wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.

Flew this route with ANZ just after 9/11 and remember being surprised by them still using metal cutlery with their food service (all changed now no doubt).
