Magnet and Ornament Exchanges
Has anyone done either of these? Just wondered what types did you give/receive? - pictures welcome!
Planning on buying as I'm not very crafty :) |
Whilst I haven't taken part myself, I know others that have.
They generally give something that depicts the UK - unfortunately for most US people, that means something 'London'. But if you have a particular iconic landmark near you, or a place of interest, then that would be great too. For ornament, it's Christmas stuff right? So a bauble or similar ... again, a local one if poss. Enjoy! |
We are doing a magnet exchange for the first time on our upcoming cruise and as all the people in our group are Americans we are doing a London magnet :d:
We are actually not too far from London so it seems ok. |
Hi We participated two years ago and as we are from Scotland gave tartan Scottie dogs and sheep, we received some really lovely ones in return, pic included of them on our room door on the cruise, many homemade, the sand dollar came with a postcard explaining the story behind it, I love the wooden bottle with the ship name and cruise date, they all still have pride of place on our fridge

Sorry never uploaded an image before, hope this works! |
Love the sheep and dog magnets you gave!

So I've gone the opposite on Magnets and done DCL ones. I couldn't find much in my local town and thought that way they can use them on future cruises. I've participated in a few and had a range of types from Disney to home town magnets and always enjoyed them.
