Cruise Day 10/8/13

The Cruise day has finally arrived and we were up like a lark. All awake at 7am washed and went down for breakfast. We had plenty to eat and then went back to the room to wash up and to make sure everything was packed for the move.

We checked out of the Hotel at 10am all we had to pay was the local tax which was just under 8.00 Euros. We sat in the lobby until 11am and then walked outside to the taxi rank the driver came over and said Disney Magic and then put our cases into the car. It took us about 10 minutes to get to the port and cost 13.45 Euros. When he stopped the taxi at Terminal C a porter came to get our bags to be put on board.

We went inside the terminal to check in. It was just so easy we just went up to the desk after filling in a form to say that we were all feeling well and that none of us had diarrhoea.

The girl at check in did have a little trouble printing my key to the world card, Nigel and Rebecca's printed fine. Once she had sorted that out we went into the waiting area to wait for our boarding time.

Rebecca and I had our photo's taken with Captain Mickey.

Then we went and registered Rebecca for youth activities the queue was quite long and we missed our boarding time we were supposed to board number 4, but ended up boarding number 8 no biggy though.

Rebecca thrilled with her key to the world card.

When we entered the Magic we were told we could have lunch at Topsiders but we weren't really hungry yet so we sat in the shade by the kids pool.

When we were hungry Rebecca had Chicken strips and chips from Pluto's dog house, and she really enjoyed them. Nigel and I both had Salads from Goofy's Galley, Nigel also had a Turkey and Cranberry Sandwich, we also had a plate of fruit between us we had grapes, pineapple and melon.

at 1.30 we went down to our room we were told it would be ready at 1.30 and it was. Our room number was 7621 so we put our carry on bags in the stateroom and took some photos before we messed it up.

We then went for a walk around the ship until our bags arrived around 3pm, then we had to go to the evacuation drill at 4pm which was held in Animators Pallette, we thought it would be held on deck but there you are.

We went straight from there to the Sailaway party, we lost Rebecca there as she was right in the thick of it all and we couldn't see her, the sun was blazing I could feel my shoulders burning.

When the characters had gone I went in search of Rebecca when I eventually found her, we went back to the room to get showered for our meal as we were on the early sitting. I had spoken to Jose earlier on about us being seated on our own for dinner and he had sorted it out for us. We were on table 36 in Animators Palette right in front of the screen.

We ordered our food Nigel had Portobello mushrooms and Polenta cake, followed by beef tenderloin and a trio of desserts.

I love this photo of Rebecca

Mickey Mouse came out after the meal he was wearing his Sorcerers Apprentice outfit, just a shame he didn't come near our table.

Considering the portions are small my goodness we were quite full. We decided to go to the shops for a walk to try and walk off the food. I got a Captain Mickey toy, a Disney Cruise Lanyard, and Autograph book and Pen for Rebecca and a Disney Cruise pin I spent 56.57 Euros.

We took the shopping back to the stateroom Rebecca changed her clothes as she wanted to go to Oceaneers Club for an hour or so. She wasn't 100% certain that she wanted to go but we went and had a look and I encouraged her to try it as it is somewhere to meet new friends. So she went and Nigel and I went for a leisurely walk around decks 9 and 10 and watched the sun go down.

We then went to Diversions for a drink I had a Margarita and Nigel had an Estrella it came to 13.45 Euros.

At 1030 we decided to collect Rebecca from the club she didn't want to leave but I thought it was late enough.

She told me one of the councellors was called Clair, and she remembered her from our holiday in Ibiza last year.

We then went back to the stateroom to bed. Me and Nigel had a can of Estella each while I wrote up my notes and Nigel read the Navigator.

The best bit has now started!
Mick was drinking Estrella too, but couldn't pronounce it how it's supposed to be pronounced (y sound for the ll). He ended up saying Australia most of the time but with an E at the front.

It worked though and it gave the bar staff a giggle! :d:
