Homemade Dole Whip

I’ve never had the pleasure of having one of these but it’s on the top of my list. Someone just sent me this pic of a recipe in a book.

Would be interested if it actually tastes the same!

I cant quite read this, but I've blitzed up pineapple with vanilla ice cream with reasonable results...

If I ever get back to the US, I'm going to get some of this:

No it doesn’t. We did not manage to do this successfully. I struggled to get the pineapple fine enough so I think that was the main issue. I presume it also depends on what kind of ice cream you use.

Dole whip contains no ice cream as such so it is hard to replicate . Nor does it contain pineapple other than a tiny bit from juice in the "flavourings"

Non dairy, soft serve, fruit flavoured dessert... doesn't sound so tasty.

Yes there’s that too! I remember reading that and thinking “how can this recipe be Dole Whip” :d:

This does sound tasty still though haha. I guess I’ll wait until the real thing!

Don’t get me wrong, the recipe does taste nice but it’s just not Dole Whip.
