Is there an issue buying Xiaomi brands are they going to be an issue in the future I’m not sure which Chinese brand is effected by all that’s going on I tech?

They are not currently under any US restrictions. Haven't heard of any plans to limit their use of US IP.

Their investor base is quite wide with the likes of Qualcomm having shares.

It is the Huawei brands which are the focus of the US and other governments.

Thank you. We need new phones and these sit within our meagre budget:d:

The phones have great reviews. We have quite a few of the fitness bands and we cant fault them, great price, battery and usable app. The YI cameras used to be part of Xiaomi brand too, which are also great.

I have had an Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite for the past two years with zero issues and so I have just purchased a Redmi Note Pro 9 which I am gradually getting acquainted with.

I refuse to spend megabucks on a phone
