Pixie dust
We booked in March for a stay at the New York Hotel for 5 nights next May. I knew that due to the refurb not being finished they were no longer taking bookings but was looking at the Walt Disney World Travel Company website Thursday to see if it said when it was reopening. I noticed that it listed the hotels and the opening dates and for the New York Hotel for stays up to 7th December 2020 you could change to the Newport Bay Club and have a refund for the difference and for stays after you could ‘accept a move to the Disneyland Hotel’ for no extra. I got straight on the phone and was told it was not on their system. After about 30 minutes of being on hold and him checking with others the CM said they would look into it and get back to me within 24 hours. I had taken a screen shot and sent it to my bff to make sure I was understanding it correctly. No phone call yesterday but I noticed the website had changed to NBC only. I gave them a call this morning and they have honoured the change to the Disneyland Hotel and also upgraded the half board dining plan (included in the original booking) to the Premium one. Very pleased as it’s about a £2000 upgrade for the 5 nights. Let’s just hope that travel is ok next May.
