Disney springs area
 

Anyone hired from Disney springs area or a universal hotel. Are the hire places inside the hotels receptions, if you drop off at hotel , say universal hotel, do you just pull up outside and go in and give the keys. So much to consider before final decision made

Can't say for the Springs area hotels but when we dropped back a car at the Dolphin one time, one of the valet guys took it off us, gave us a receipt showing we had returned it with a full tank and that was it, we walked straight into the back of Epcot. Am guessing most hotels use the same process.

disney car care centre has a shuttle that will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the office and back again when you drop off

The car rental desks are usually within the hotel lobby area. Theres an Alamo, Dollar, Budget and Avis office all within a short walk from Disney Springs (Hotel Blvd with the exception of Alamo who are at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista Palace Hotel, or you can head to the Disney Car Care Center if you prebook the Alamo shuttle to collect you from your Disney Hotel / Disney Springs (Pickup point nr to Planet Hollywood).

Vehicle drop off - Park the vehicle up in the designated parking bay and take the keys to the rental desk. If its out of hours, leave them in the drop box and the vehicle will be checked back in the following morning.

Used Avis from Hilton in DS & will be again next year, the desk is near the Starbucks inside. Drop off you just p[ark up through the barrier & drop keys off. One thing to note don't take the pre-paid fuel option unless you really want to, they will explain that the nearest petrol station is a pain to get in & out of when actually it isn't & it's literally 2 mins round the corner!
