Alamo Collision Damage Waiver question

Hello. We’re going to book Alamo via the Brit’s offer I think. It says “CDW full” is included in the price. When I read the small print it talks about optional CDW (but the website doesn’t give an option not to take the CDW).

Can anyone tell me whether the “CDW full” is CDW with zero excess? So if we do straight to road we’ll bypass the counter/hard sell and still be totally covered?

Thanks. :)

As far as I know all the major companies have zero excess. Alamo certainly does if you book via a UK broker.

I know we had CDW about 11 years ago and someone reversed into us at Bahama Bay. When we took the car back, Alamo just said “don’t worry it’s all covered.” Didn’t cost us a penny and we’ve had it ever since.

Any Alamo 3rd party supplier be it Brits, Auto Europe, Virgin Atlantic stand alone hire, Netflights, Andy etc etc all give full CDW with zero excess.

There are a host of others as well such as usrentacar, uscarhire, car flexi and the list goes on and on.

However it's always good to read the small print.
