Gated community
 

Hi all :)

I’ve just booked flights for July and now looking for a villa. I’ve only been once before and stayed at Windsor palms.
Do you think it’s a lot better to be in a gated community? Just worried about the security and feeling safe. Probably being overly paranoid but I’m a worrier!
What have other people found?

I've only ever stayed in a gated community once and non gated about 10 times.. Never had issues with any

Is there any particular areas close to Disney anyone could recommend if we didn’t go down the gated route? We need a villa rather than a hotel due to sleeping arrangements

How many bedrooms do you need

You could try searching for DIBB villas through menu at the top of this page you can specify how far from Disney you want to be. BTW we have had both gated and not gated and never felt unsafe

We have stayed in a couple of DIBB villas that have been fantastic over the years.
They were on Sunset Lakes, This is an amazing gated community, Only 10 mins to Disney and just a couple of mins to loads of restaurants and shops.
The villa are set around a huge lake, It really is a lovely place to stay.
It is in the Formosa Gardens area.

Stayed here too in 2018, best community and villa we have stayed in. Personally I wouldn't be too bothered about gated as most of the delivery drivers know the code to get through the gates anyway so not so secure as you would think.
