Planning help

Hi all,
We're looking at doing a trip next October to LA - thinking of 4 nights in a hotel near Disney and 6 nights in a hotel in LA area.

Main things we want to do other than Disney are:

Universal
Warner Bros Tour
Santa Monica Pier
LA Zoo
Observatory

Are there any other must haves that we should do? Kids are 10 & 12.

If these are the places we want to go to where would we be best staying? Our flight home is at 6am in the morning so not sure if we should just stay near there or move there for the last night - not wanting to move about hotels too much.

We also won't have a car so if anyone has any recommendations on how to get about that would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I've used Wingz and DK Livery for airport trips and would recommend both. Uber and Lyft are great to get around LA and the Metro is easy to use also. It goes out to SM now (with a changeover downtown).

California Science Centre was a big hit with my kids if you think your kids would like it, it's also on the Metro line. La Brea tar pits are close by.

With a 6am flight you are going to be up at stupid O clock anyway I would just stay wherever your LA base is and arrange transport, traffic wont be (LA) bad very early morning. It will kill your last day spending time to move closer to the airport. One trip we had an 8am (domestic) flight, we got picked up at 5:30am at our Universal hotel. We had plenty of time, LAX was actually very quiet, not much open.

Happy planning for your trip :)
