Bearing in mind that 1 in 9 people on the supposedly quarantined cruise ship have now got the Covid-19 virus. Can we take from that the fear is how contagious/infectious this is?
I understand the figures regarding "normal" flu, however this is treated as something in a different league. I still don't know what to make of it all.

There are unconfirmed reports that the Government has "block booked" the Holiday Inn Ariel (the round one) on Bath Road near Heathrow to act as a quarantine centre for any arriving travellers who have coronavirus symptoms.

Even the British couple who were always on the news streaming from the cruise ship look to have come down with it now? 542 now gone down with it on the ship. Would normal flu have spread like this given they are in quarantine aboard and largely confined to the room?

I've just seen this, were these the couple that could've gotten off the boat a couple of weeks ago? Not sure if they were safer off the boat than on it?

Apparently they didn’t want to be treated in a Japanese hospital by people who ‘didn’t speak English’
🤔

They didn’t want to be separated, also the letter they got said there would be no western food, and dietary needs couldn’t be guaranteed ( they would have been in a hostel as they didn’t have the virus at the time) The language barrier thing was because David has various medical issues, diabetes being one of them) also they were advised by the U.K. officials to stay onboard.
