Celebration

Hi everyone

We’ve never been to celebration but plan to over Christmas when we are there. Has anyone ever been on Christmas Day?

I understand the big guy won’t be there but will the snow show etc all still be running?

We fly out on 21st but plans won’t allow us to get there before!

Thanks

We tried to visit on Christmas afternoon about 4 years ago. After sitting in nose to tail traffic crawling slower than your average snail for 45 minutes, we gave up and went home!

Yes it will still snow on Christmas Day

All you need to know about Celebration Town Center

You must do a drive around the houses when you visit - this is one of the famous ones on Golf Park Drive a couple of nights ago.

Regular visitors to Celebration might also be pleased to know that the Emporium shop (I think it was called that :confused2 ) on Market Street which was closed up in April has now re-opened with a new owner. ;)

Fabulous pic Mick.
Good news that the store has opened again as it was obviously closed when we were there in September.
It was always a nice shop to browse through.

We visit whenever we get the opportunity and this year is as good as normal. Don’t forget to catch the lights on Jeater Bend where 11 houses have got together for a superb co-ordinated display. There are lots of videos for it on you tube.

About 75% of the merchandise is currently Christmas stuff. We bought a new tree ornament for about $9 that would have been $25 or more at the DS Christmas shop.

We normally visit twice every holiday but as it's so difficult to park around Market Street in the evening at this time of year we just did a random drive round the residential areas without much of a plan.

We then went back one morning to visit that shop and sat in the rocking chairs for a while. It was too early for our usual butter pecans from Kilwins though.

Serious advice to the OP though. There's lots of parking at Celebration but if you choose to parallel park kerbside please ensure that you park on the side of the road in the direction of travel. They are a bit hot on that in Celebration.

Mick

That reminds me, before the shop shut in Celebration we bought a Christmas bauble, it didn't have a price on it and I didn't ask at check out!
$27 + tax...easily the most expensive bauble we've ever bought:cry:

Most of our Christmas stuff is now bought from Old Time Pottery for a few $:d:
