Las Vegas or Bust - Day 5
 

Thursday 17th March 2005

Happy St Patrick’s Day. A day shopping.

After breakfast in the Nile Deli again, we collect the car from the Valet service. We visit another Wal-Mart’s, a scrapbook shop, the Las Vegas Factory Outlet Mall and Meadow Mill Mall. Hot, hot, hot today. Glad we remembered to bring sunscreen and sunglasses.

Tonight is ‘O’ at the Bellagio. We walk there and as we have plenty of time we have a pre-show ice cream.

Afterwards, we watch the fountains and then take a stroll back to the Luxor.

Slots again tonight – we have a bit more luck winning on two machines, but not a fortune.

What was the show like Heather?

Like most Cirque shows it's a bit hard to describe. The stage is in fact a huge swimming pool in which the performers dive into during their acts from different parts of the staging which raise up from within the pool.

My fav so far is KA. The show this time is actually built round a story and the performances for part of the story/show. The stage is not fixed, but is built on a 'arm' which tilts, lifts, revolves and turns the stage during the performance. Never seen anything like it. Want to get the sound track when they release it as the music was wonderful.
