July 2022:

We appeared to have acquired some "additional baggage" for part of our trip...

March 2022:

With Avios seats secured from the UK to Sydney and with 2023 hopefully a "goer" with the reopening of Australia and New Zealand, a new spanner in the works :erm: :erm:with our cruise being cancelled... read on here.

February 2022:

At least Australia have opened their borders now, so fingers crossed, under 12 months to go. Just need to try and snag those elusive BA Club World seats with Avios - I feel a late night coming on soon!

August 2021:

Another e-mail from BA telling us that our 2022 flights had been cancelled. so we have now rebooked the cruise for February 2023 with a broadly similar itinerary, the difference being that we will be joining the cruise once we arrive in Sydney, then spending 5 days in Sydney post-cruise, and the same routing back home with a Tokyo stopover.

At least that is the plan...

September 2020:

Ah well - it had to happen with the current Coronavirus situation. DW and myself decided in September that a March 2021 date may well end up being cancelled, and even if not, we probably wouldn't enjoy it with all the restrictions that may have been in place.

So we have rebooked our cruise, now departing Sydney in February 2022, and have been able to upgrade to a Junior Suite at less cost than our original Balcony Cabin price.

And with BA now having cancelled our flights and the Avios and Companion Voucher "back in the bank", we are hoping to be travelling as follows:
