Hard Rock Hotel - work being done **UPDATES**
 

I have just noticed that they have started (or are starting) work on HRH replacing the roof which will take 11 months - apparently started October '21.

Has anyone else seen this?

Has anyone moved hotel bookings because of this?

We are booked for here next May not seen anything myself. Hopefully won't impact anyone to much as I really don't want to change.

I've got a reservation there at the end of the month and no-one has informed us - I'll post more info in my trip report when we are there.

Thanks... I have booked a room at RPR just in case also. Will see closer to the time regarding the work being done.

If you go to book on the HRH website then it does state about external work.

We’re booked for May too and also haven’t heard anything. We’ve never stayed here and are really looking forward to it. I can’t see it impacting things too much, there’s no way Universal would cause that to one of their premier hotels for nearly a year!

I only heard as our in-laws are also staying there in May, and had a message from their TA.

I have not heard anything from Travel Republic... So when on the HRH website it does state about external work at the time.

We are booked there in February with BA, I increased my nights there on Sunday and when speaking to BA they did mention it. They said from October 21 to December 22.

Booked there with virgin in October and they’ve not been in touch.

We’re booked for the start of December with BA and it’s not been mentioned to us.

We check in at the end of this month and got a message about it from BA earlier this week. I presumed (and hope) it won’t be too disruptive.

Edit: I’ve just emailed HRH with a room request and have asked about the work, so will report back.

We have booked for June and have not heard anything until I saw this post. It is on the HRH’s website now if you go to book.

Will be interested to hear what the HRH have to say about the works and from those who are going soon.
