Hong Kong Must Do's

If you've been before what were your must do's and don't bothers? Any top tips?

Might be tempted to do one day at Disney ;)

Thank you! :)

Sky100
Tram to The Peak
Symphony of Lights - I went on a boat trip and it was stunning
Ngong Ping and Big Buddha
HOHO bus tour including a trip on the Star Ferry
Afternoon tea at The Langham - amazing!
Obviously Disneyland ;)

Other things I looked at but couldn’t fit in -
Ocean Park
Day trip to Macau
Happy Valley Races
HOHO loop to Stanley and Aberdeen

I loved Hong Kong despite the weather being rubbish. The Subway was great as it was cheap, clean and very easy to use.

Try the Star ferry in daylight and in the dark. Fantastic views both ways. We were very underwhelmed by the Symphony of lights. Had a really good spot but nowhere near as good as Singapore.

Second Nong Ping and the Big Buddha, amazing day. You can prebook tickets for the cable car online now. The cable car ride there and back is an experience in itself!

We went to the peak and had a meal overlooking HK whilst it went dark, great experience to see views in light and dark.

Loved HK Disney. Just planning a return trip with DD going to spend a couple of nights in Disney Hotel this time and a few in HK.

HK Disney is so different to Florida so laid back we had a wonderful day there.

As Beth Disney said subway is really cheap, efficient and easy to use.

You can buy cards in the airport, you pay a deposit for card. We had a good refund when we returned cards at the end of our trip. If a few of you travelling you can get good deals on multibuy tickets

The airport is huge! Allow plenty of time to get to gates, etc. When we were leaving arrivals there was a lady from Visit HK at a small counter. We stopped to ask her a question and she was fabulously helpful. She gave us loads of maps, discount offers, etc.

Hope you have a fantastic time!

Hi,

Apart from everything mentioned I would add 10 000 buddhas monastery at Sha Tin, temple street night market, Stanley harbour, chi lin nunnery + nan lian gardens.
Ocean Park is great if you want to see pandas. We really enjoyed Happy Valley. Macau was great - we had a few days to explore.

Enjoy!

Thank you all! Will check out your suggestions but it’s trying to decide what to drop as everything sounds great, but we can’t fit it all in!
