Detailed Model of Star Wars Land coming to Disney Hollywood Studios shown at D23
 

During a special preview of D23 Expo 2017, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek unveiled a first look at the epic, richly detailed model of the Star Wars themed land under construction at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando.

The detailed model will remain on display throughout the weekend as part of "A Galaxy of Stories" pavilion. Chapek plans to share exciting new details about the project during the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts D23 Presentation on Saturday.

The Star Wars-themed lands will be called Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Brilliant detail but as not a total convert to Star Wars it will be a Sci Fi world for me and many others. My mate Jezza will be over the (Endor) moon!

I'm trying to work out how it fits in with the rest of the park but no clues from the model...

I think that's actually a model of the Star Wars Land in Disneyland California, not the one at DHS in Florida. Although the DHS one will look very similar just with a different layout. Even so, I'm not sure how it all fits in either.

Having seen some videos I can't see anything of the AT-ATs that they have built. What happened to those?

Also on display was one of the vehicles from the First Order ride that is coming to Star Wars Land. Apparently, this is going to be a motion based probably-3D(?) dark ride similar to the Spider-Man ride at IOA. The vehicle certainly looks similar to the SCOOP vehicle in the Spider-Man ride.

I was trying to figure this out too and couldn't make it work at all so I'm glad it's not just me!

But to be honest, I'm at a loss for California as well! How the chuff are they expanding there? Anaheim is proper hammed in!

It looks absolutely epic! Hope it's finished for 2019! But my word it's gonna be busy... but I suppose that means ToT will be a walk on... ? 😂😂
