They've done a "mock" up of when and when not to us genie plus for AK and Epcot

Makes interesting reading

I'm really looking forward to all their tests once the system is out. Data is fun. :d:

Absolutely. Equally I'm impressed with TP. I used them in 2019 and it worked well. Obviously there's hiccups it can't be perfect but I found it useful.

It'll be interesting to compare TP be Genie App once it's a up and running

I'm a big fan of Touring Plans and have used them in some way for every trip so far. Genie's attraction planning service sounds very similar to what TP do, but there is a bit of me that wonders if Disney will use theirs to try and spread crowds out so won't necessarily give you the best options for you, but the best to suit their needs. Whereas TP will be more impartial and work for the user. It will be interesting to see, compare and hear feedback when Genie is live.

It's definitely going to be what works for Disney. Part of me doesn't want them to actually recommend the quiet areas, because they won't stay quiet if enough people follow it.

I plan on using both, just for fun. But will follow TP. :d:

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this :)

I don’t think they will follow it… or is that just me that won’t be. Happy to use the rides access bit but not going to be hanging on to my phone for every bit of Disney advice.
I’ve never been a sheep- I understand why it’s done etc etc but not sure it will suit our style of holiday.

I do use TP though ahead of the holiday to figure out how to tackle what rides that particular day. Just to get a feel for the estimated crowd.

I'm really looking forward to following people using the new system.

Will be fun to watch the bunch head the park and see how much time it saves. From data AK is a waste of genie unless you go in peak times.

LL upcharge for FOP seems the way forward unless your onsite and rope drop it

Or go late. AK is pretty dead in the evenings. And you can jump in line just before closing to maximise your usable park time.
