New Star Wars Hotel at Disney Hollywood Studios

inline imageSome time ago we were discussing Disney Hollywood Studios new theme park additions, namely the big Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and a new Star Wars themed hotel that Disney wanted to build... See HERE

We have learned that new permits have been filed to clear a 9.5 acre plot of land just south of the new star wars land which is under construction at Disney Hollywood Studios.

This could be the likely spot for the new Star Wars themed hotel.

Makes sense to have it there.. Maybe there will be a link from the hotel to the park?

Rumour I saw this morning is that it will be $1000 a night :omg:

I'm pretty sure I heard there will be. It would make sense for those guests not wanting to break the "reality" of being far, far away.

9.5 acres is a pretty tiny plot for a hotel though! I guess they could build it as a tower, since the windows are going to be VR so don't need to provide actual views/theming outside the resort.

😲 oh my!

Disney do seem to be gearing themselves to people with spare cash that
Do the trip once in a lifetime rather than seasoned travellers. I wonder if the moderates will increase in price once the gondolas are working

It is just a rumour at the moment (and that amount included all meals and entrance to the theme parks, as well). I've seen rumours of other amounts as well. No one knows for sure yet how much it'll cost - but it certainly isn't going to be cheap. I wouldn't be surprised if it was $1K a night.

However, I believe you'll only be able to stay for two nights (so, $2000 for a 3 day immersive experience, including food and park admission). It's not like people will be spending $14K to book a 14 night stay there.

Disney's website on this new Star Wars hotel says, "it will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios".

So, yes, they'll be some sort of special, themed link. ;)
