Expedition Everest Refurb.

Expedition Everest is going to be closed for over 3 months from January 4th to reopen mid April. It will apparently address the ride system(whatever that means) The Yeti as well perhaps?

The good news just keeps on coming doesn’t it

What’s next - they’ve run out of Mickey waffle batter!?

Probably the best time to do it with it being low season and no international visitors. Although not great for those planning on visiting early next year 😞

Will they be closing Splash Mountain at the same time?

Kali is also closing in November for refurb. Not surprising because it's a water ride, but no reopening date announced. So if it's delayed beyond the usual few weeks maintenance, AK could have no attractions in that area of the park.

I would put good odds on Splash closing around the same time for maintenance at the very least, if not permanently for the theme change.

Most definitely not "addressing" the yeti as that's not a refurb issue, from what I've read it's an almost "start" again issue as it's foundations cracking from the weight/movement & let's face it most people will think that the strobe is normal

They won't ever fix the Yeti as doing so would require removal of the structural walls and it'll probably be cheaper to demolish it and start again.

And ours too, and we are booked for March as well.

It wont be the Yeti as I read somewhere years ago that fixing it would mean removing large parts of the track and infrastructure. It is sad that Disney's largest ever animatronic just sits there idol. I read somewhere else that it is just the loading area that is getting the renovation as Disney don't have the money to do anything other than basic safety upgrades at the moment.
