Places to eat near etihad sat afternoon
Hi all
We are off to Ed Sheeran, two weeks today. Have premier inn booked Manchester Piccadilly, so will head up Saturday morning, but where for an early tea? We like places like tgi, Bella italia, pizza places etc...can anyone local recommend so we can see about booking one. It’s to please dd11 and ds13 And me and hubby obv. Any tips about getting into/out of etihad too, we will be on foot. Thanks in advance |
Use the tram straight from the city centre to the stadium. Leaving the concert might be quicker walking though, its not far back to Piccadilly.
Eating places theres loads, not much around the stadium but all the usuals in city centre. |
I can recommend loads of places in the city centre if you would like. Near the stadium itself is Vermillion which is a thai/Indian place and also Le Delicatezze Di Bruno which is an Italian.

Just a quick one as I went to see Ed in Belfast last Wednesday... he was amazing as always. You'll have a fab time. I cannot wait to go back to see him Glasgow 3 weeks tomorrow :)
Im going to see Taylor Swift at the Etihad on 9th, I've not got a hotel as I'm driving down for the day. We've booked a table at the Botanist for dinner and will get the tram (metro link) round to the stadium after dinner. xx |
Given you are staying the City Centre you'd be better off eating there and then heading out to the concert.
There's a fab pizza place called Croma just by Albert Square / Town Hall which my DD(13) loves. There are a couple of TGIs in the city centre, one in the Royal Exchange building and one in Piccadilly train station itself. There's a Hard Rock in the Printworks building and you can get a tram down from where you are staying to Victoria station, then back out to the Etihad. Enjoy the gig! |
