Plenty of offsite delights ~ June 2014 ~ Food Report ~ COMPLETED

Hi everyone :wavey:

First time I've done one of these, I normally just include the food with my main trip report but since we have a separate section for food, I thought why not split it!

The food is a big part of our holiday but I have to say this time there are no trips to bahama breeze, outback. longhorns even though I am a fan of all of those

This time I wanted to try places I hadn't before and I wanted to try and keep the budget fairly low for food..we also did take out more as we had our infant daughter with us.. I know lots of people ask about takeouts and prices etc. So although maybe not the most gastronomic report ever I will include locations and prices in the hope that it may help someone.

Here's a list of all the places we ate so you can see if any interest you and I will update each link every time I post, As soon as my photos are sorted I will make a start! :)

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me! lets get started shall we...

Breakfast was in Giraffe T1 Manchester. Initially I was disappointed that we wouldn't be starting our hols at Frankie and Benny's like we have previously but that soon passed! I had a 10% discount voucher from eatdrinkfly (discount does not include drinks)

Our holiday breakfast always starts with these

Just to get us in the holiday mood, but the food was lovely too!
I had Fried Eggs on Foccachia with Smoked Salmon and fried eggs

I really enjoyed this mmmm
Chris had a breakfast special, he always has this if it's on the menu - he cleaned the plate!

Jess had a kids sausage egg and beans but she polished this off before I could get a photo

Brandon had a chocolate brownie ( I know hardly breakfast but we were on the way to the USA!
And Poppy had a kids porridge (the bowl was huuuuggee! )

The total bill was £37.03 with the discount (but our alcoholic drinks cost £8.55 so not bad for airport food! We left a tip too, but not 20% as we're not on American soil yet!

Not the most exciting post, but the food on the plane was..standard plane food for me. I can grt take it or leave it, DH loves it! James Martin does the food for Thomas Cook. I didn't find it much different then previous trips to be honest!

Choice was Sauasge and Mash or Chicken curry. We chose one of each so we could sample both.
apologies for the photo quality here, with an almost 2 year old on my knee, it was challenging at times!

Kids meal was spaghetti Bolagnaise, and we had the usual cold pack with bread, butter, cheese and and chocolate mousse in it. Then later we were given a cheese sandwich and an Egg one (I think)

Now we've arrived and have the usual dilemma of where to go for tea, I spend all this time researching but when we get here my brain is fried and I can't think!
so after a quick google search we decide Pizza is the simplest option and settle on Papa Johns. I started the order then realised it was coming up a tad expensive for me, so another quick search for offers and I found codes for large pizzas half price.

So I ordered 2 large Pizza's ($6.50 each) A cheese one (kids don't do many toppings!)
and a buffalo chicken one (I am obsessed with all things buffalo!)

We also had a 2L bottle of pepsi and chicken Poppers with Ranch sauce

Total was $26.75 with tax and delivery. I paid $32 with tip. It was delivered from Papa Johns 17445 US highway 192, Clermont
