Any DIY experts help me please ? Updated post 23 with photos

I an a real novice DIY person and struggling to fine a particular screw thing . I bought a garden wooden steamer chair and the screws for the legs are missing. I have gone back to the company and they sent the wrong one out, tried amazon but the wrong ones came and today the company said they can no longer provide the screws so sending me £20 or I can return the item )the s bed I have 90% put to gather, weighs a ton (it put my back out) and to be honest I love the quality (It was expensive too )

So please anyone who where I can find 12 x M8 25/1 ? Like this

All I have at home in terms of tools is an Allen key or Philips screw driver so I dont want anything other than the prodict really.

I am dealing with the woeful CS of said company too dont you worry but I would rather get the legs on so I can use the bed else it will be expensive fire wood (find good large and sturdy steamer chars had taken me months of scouring !)

Hiya,
It looks like screw fix have the bottom ones and toolstation may have the top ones.
If you have no luck PM me and I’ll get DH to have a look in his extensive and I mean extensive screw boxes and if he has them either send them to you or advise where to buy them,I’ll check when he gets back from work 😁

MF. If Snowbelle can't help with what you need you will find that most Trade places online have them as she says.

The problem is not with the thread but the particular type of head that you will need as some are countersunk and some are flat.

Basically the 8 is the diameter in mm and the 1 is 1mm between the thread thus the 25 should be the length namely 25mm

I note there is a shank at the top with no thread on it but if you can buy ones that are threaded all the way up that will be ok.

The type you have are screwed in with an Allen key albeit we call them Hex keys.

I'd go for the one in your second link as they're countersunk so will sit flush

Thank you Jim j 🙏👍

(Ordered and will be with me tomorrow (they say))

Mmm. The threads look a bit coarse to me.

Try a Google search for the first one as M8 25mm 1.0. That will give you loads of suppliers such as

https://www.hpaulin.com/m8-1-0-x-25m...61-zinc-plated

Now that's not the right type of head but you get the gist of it. The thread pitch is the issue as if it's wrong it wont go in. As a Tradesman I would get it in! Plenty of grease on the thread but I have huge Hex keys so can 'drive' it in.

Edit. Popping out for a bit so will check back later. :)

Top one is a bit of an odd combination for general tool type stores.

Most M8 bolts will have a 1.25mm thread pitch (1mm is usually for M6 bolts). This is what you need to watch out for. If it doesn't say it will most likely be a 1.25mm thread pitch, not a 1mm.

You are looking for a furniture bolt with a flange head, although you may find more choice in a hex (socket) head format.

Thanks - I dont own (or intend to purchase) any tools . I have an Allen key and a small worn Philips and after this DIY lockdown experiment I will only buy preassembled furniture (which I actually thought this was - a Dutch company that didnt explicitly state it was build your own else I wouldnt have really gone for it)

Thank for your help - i will see what happpens tomorrow. Ideally I want ti sorted so I can movie it outside or into my shed but at the moment it is taking over my office/study .

PS I did google and order what I thought was right (from amazon) but what came wasnt right when arrived hence why I am asking the wonder Dibb DIY experts as I dont trust my own judgement
