Anyone else having trouble trying to book through Skyscanner?

I’ve been trying on and off all day to book flights shown on Skyscanner.

I’m getting so frustrated.

The flight prices have been up and down all day and I’ve gone through the booking process so many times it’s driving me mad.

I get right through to payment and then it says the flights are no longer available.

Twice I’ve actually completed the process with Fly Sharp to then receive an email saying they’re not available. The second email just came through and on their website they’re actually showing the same flights for cheaper than I would have paid for them.

I’ve never had this much trouble with Skyscanner in the past.

The flights I’m trying to book are Iberia for Feb half term next year.

A lot of the "shonky" agents advertise prices that do not exist when you try to book them as they don't use a "live" booking system.

Have you looked at reviews for Fly Sharp?

Have a read here and decide: https://onemileatatime.com/book-thro...avel-agencies/

Skyscanner is not a 'live' system. It is a search engine and sometimes it just shows the cheapest price that has been searched (within past few days) and found for that particular date. Its most annoying when its unavailable.
I always search the main websites too, as I often find they can 'beat' the Skyscanner price.
Also, I have had more luck on occasion with opodo for'no longer available' flights.

hope you get sorted.

If the Iberia flights are Codeshare with BA, these are available on the BA site - if you choose a Flydrive - there are some great prices booking direct with BA.

I think Skyscanner / Kayak are great for price guides and to show when flights get released. We've tried to book with them and always fail. We've tried ringing the companies that show flights and have been told that "that price is no longer available". We've also tried to add luggage and been told we have to do that direct with the airline after we have booked.

Once a flight that you like, at a price you like becomes available, ring around some reputable travel agents, or even the airline direct and see if they can get the same deal.

Skyscanner had some fantastic prices for PE the other day but they were not available on Virgin site.

I don't even look there anymore, spent too much time trying to book tickets then price not available when you go to pay
We use netflights now with no problems

I got the same flights with Barrhead Travel which has a live system after reading reviews for Travel Up who had the cheapest flights on Skyscanner. Trusted agent and great service. Couldn't be bothered with Skyscanner in the end although they do give you something to aim for!
