GB news channel

It looks like this is to start in March, I wonder who the presenters will be .

It will be interesting to see how this goes and if it can rival the BBC and Sky News. GB news looks like it will have planned segments throughout the day and 'break' news as it happens so a different approach.

Anyone else going to give it a go ?

Edit, starts today 8pm

I hadn't even heard of it until you posted.

I see Sun executive editor and Talkradio drivetime presenter Dan Wootton has become GB News’ first big on-air signing - whoever he is.:erm:

I love news so this will be interesting to see how it develops.

Maybe they could have a strap-line of reporting instead of speculating such as we see every day at the moment with the big 3. Mmm, probably not as that doesn't attract viewers.

Never heard of it so safe to say (given the names of antiquated presenters above) it holds absolutely no interest to me .

Fox News UK.

There'll be a market for it, certainly. Not for me Clive.

Nigel Farage is rumoured to have a late night slot.

Basically, Fox News.

i still dont understand why being "woke" is a bad thing?

and people like andrew neil saying the channel will be anti-woke? this seems to be along the lines of how americans view "commies"

the only people who tend to use woke as an insult or a pejorative term tend to be asshats.

why would anyone want to watch this garbage fox news wannabe channel? i just hope ofcom make sure impartiality laws arent broken with the awful people likely to be appearing on the channel.

ugh.

Really looking forward to it arriving. A good alternative to current biased news channels (IMHO)... viewing figures will reveal all. It will float or sink... god bless all who sail in her!

Andrew Neil is consistent no matter who he is interviewing... let’s see how it develops.

It won't make any inroads into the UK news market. It will be a niche channel with small.core of dedicated viewers. The rest of the country wouldn't even know who or what it is/was.

I Dont necessarily think being woke is a bad thing it's more the attitude that theirs is the only point of view or opinion that can be correct and if you don't agree 100% then you have to be a racist, bigot etc or as you so eloquently put it an asshat.

I want to watch it as I'm not particularly happy with some of the garbage put out by the current main news channels and would like to see alternatives. Also frankly I don't know how you can describe something as garbage that you've not even seen yet so struggling to find any basis for your argument

Words have different meanings to different people.

woke has been misappropriated by the likes of neil and regulars on fox news. the people who think being woke is a bad thing are also the same people who are shouting that conservative voices are being silenced.

usually on the likes of fox news. with millions of people watching.
