Book recommendations

I recently realised I spend far too much time on social media or watching tv programs I don’t particularly enjoy so have decided to read more.
It’s such a long time since I’ve read a book.
I’m halfway through The Librarian of Auschwitz by Antonio Iterbe which is a very good read.
Can anyone recommend any good books, any type except romance, for me to read.
My wife is currently reading the Richard Osman book The Thursday Murder Club, which she is really enjoying, so will probably be my next read.

Some of my recent reads include:

American Dirt - Jeanine Cummings
Where The Crawdads Sing - Delia Owens
The Pact - Jodi Picoult
This is Going to Hurt - Adam Kay (heart-wrenching but so funny at times)

I love crime thriller books.
Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh ! Absolute page turner! His other books are great too.
I also love Karin Slaughter books. They do go on order so lots to sink your teeth into. She has done some stand alone books too. They are a bit gruesome but really good.
A lot of Harllan Coben books are good too, hold tight is one that springs to mind.

I've just finished all of John Mars books, noticed I'd picked around 3 of them without realising they were by the same author so read everything he'd written and i've loved every one of them.

Thrillers but a little different, thoroughly recommended.

If you have a Kindle, or a device that runs the Kindle app, Bookbub is worth subscribing to:

https://www.bookbub.com/ebook-deals/recommended

You get a daily email of books that are on offer on Amazon. If nothing else, quickly scan down each day and click through and "buy" the free offerings - there's some surprisingly decent stuff from well-known authors you can get for completely free or, at a push, 99p.

The Stand by Stephen King - about a deadly pandemic with 99% mortality rate.
It will take your mind off things for 1,000 pages ;) and it is a masterpiece.
