Sharks teeth

Thinking of taking the grandson to casperson beach hunting sharks teeth, are we likely to find some?

Yes...

Try to time it for a low tide as they are easier to find amongst what was the churn when the water was higher.

I've also spotted fossilised turtle/tortoise shells on south Casperson and north Manasota.

Yes if you try hard enough in a quiet spot, although depending on the age of the child, you could secretly buy some from a nearby gift shop to make them easier to 'find'. We took a soil sieve (bought for a few dollars from walmart).

Yes you will definitely get a haul of shark's teeth and other fossilised items (crocodile skin for example). We've been a couple of times and love it. The beach has great facilities and isn't overly busy. You can hire Florida 'snow shovels' at the shop in the Pier at Venice Beach. Not expensive and we seemed to get more using one.
Enjoy!
