DLP & Villages Nature @ May Half Term and a series of random questions

Hi all

We're off soon on our little trip, four days at the parks before moving over to Villages nature. I had a couple of questions, some I'm not sure there will be an answer but I can try...

1) fuel - I'm sure I read before that if filling up at Val d'Europe you could only use one of the levels because the pumps don't accept UK credit cards. I couldn't find the info. again, does anyone know as we will probably pop over here to get some food shopping before Villages Nature

2) Ascension day - so our original plan was doing the parks only coming home on the Tuesday, but we extended for Villages Nature. I realise Ascension day is Thursday and the French make it into a long weekend... I'm hoping as such parks will be quieter the weekend before while we're there (fingers crossed). Does anyone have experience of Villages Nature over this weekend?

3) related to the above, I can book some of the activities now, but would really like to get a feel for how much of the inclusive bits we want to do, swimming, biking, etc. Any experiences of whether or not early booking is advised?

4) Last one... when I first booked, I played about on the app and there was a guided run activity, free. The available activities have changed a lot over the last few weeks, but the run never reappeared. It still shows on their general website so I assume they still do it, but does anyone have any info on what it involves, where they meet etc?

I can't help with the VN questions but there is a garage at Sants Fe which accepts all credit cards.

The parks are busy every weekend!

Yeah I've filled up at the Esso there before but seemed to remember the auchan one to be quite a bit cheaper.

I'm hoping as we've got the Friday and Monday as well, the parks will be less busy then, but we had no choice as AP's expire after the Monday so we are squeezing one last trip out of them

I am not sure what you mean regarding using one of the levels of the petrol station? However we used this petrol station back in October (yes it is generally cheaper than the Esso at Disneyland) and used my UK credit card at the pump with no problems at all.

I could have sworn I had read there was ground level and underground, one was self service the other manned? Maybe I dreamt it lol

I don't recall there being two levels (but I could just have not been paying much attention!). It was just a regular petrol station outside as normal, definitely wasn't underground where we went - so go for that and you should have no problems with your card. :)

We stayed at VN in October half term last year and while it’s fab, I would say you definitely need to pre book. Their system isn’t quite as efficient as UK Center Parcs and we did have trouble with a few of our bookings and help to sort these things out was limited. Their customer service isn’t quite the same as the UK Center Parcs either! We had a fab time and would definitely go back. The swimming pool is brilliant. We couldn’t get bikes while we were there but there is a fair bit to do for free - you can spend ages in the pool, the farm is really good, then there are a couple of play areas (indoor & outdoor) which are really good. In terms of free activities, we thought the VN was better than the UK Center Parcs we’ve been to. Hope you have a great time, we really enjoyed it :)
