***Urgent phone help required please***
 

Hi!
I am currently in Cape Coral on holiday & have just smashed my screen on my Samsung A5. I can't put my password in to get into it now rendering it useless. It's so old it's not cost-effective to try & get it fixed.
I have looked on Amazon & Walmart for a replacement I can pick up asap or get sent via prime but I'm at a loss as what phone I should get that will also work in the UK.
All I know is I want an android (not an iPhone fan) & that I am with virgin in the UK but currently using a 3 sim.
Please can someone help? I'm lost without my phone! :blush::cry:

If you liked your A5, just grab the later version - Samsung A50. So long as you buy it sim free / network unlocked it will work with any of the UK providers.

I can't find any available unfortunately. I've looked on Amazon & am getting confused as some phones are being called global or international in addition to being unlocked.

look in Walmart or bestbuy for the A5 unlocked

Walmart seem to have the best options and prices but i cannot see an A5 unlocked model but similar.

Just any unlocked A5 won't work as there is an LTE only version in the US for Verizon / Sprint.

You will need the international GSM version for Verizon / AT&T / T-Mobile but unlocked.

Ensure it is GSM, which thankfully is far more common in the US these days.

If you can get to a phone shop then ask them as they’re really helpful.
My husband got his Samsung over there and had no problems

We just got the A50 and its a brilliant phone the photo's are amazing on it - brilliant phone - would highly recommend & you could do back to back transfer all your stuff from your old phone from it even with your broken screen!
