Technical help please, how to make some DVD's.

Hi there, due to the recent loss of my beautiful dog, I want to transfer photos and videos to DVD's but have no idea how to do this.

Could someone help please. As I am not technically minded, I would need it idiot proof please. I have put some videos and photos on Usb sticks, can I use them to transfer to DVD? Or transfer from Laptop ? Which is easier ?

Thank you for any help. xx

Why do you want them on DVD? Its an old format now.

Upload the video's to Youtube as private videos and store the photo's on Google Photo's. This way you can access them from any browser on any device.

Do you even have a device which has a DVD writer?

I took all mine to the local independent photo shop and they did them all for me. There was a recent post about it - I’ll see if I can find it

Here you go. I found some online companies who you could post them to but didn’t trust the post as they were too precious and when I looked into it there were plenty of local people to do it

I would still question why. Writable DVD's are not the most reliable long term media and will become unreadable over time. They are not like mass produced DVD's in that context.

Keeping them with cloud providers of repute and on USB keys (multiple) is an easier and better way to go.

I have dozens of DVDs made on a Sony DVD recorder using Sony discs which were transferred around 2009.
Most of them are blank now.

Luckily I kept the memory sticks.

Thank you everyone, I have now got some on the dongle and my friends boyfriend is going to make CD's for me.

Am stopping going through the photos now for a bit as I am struggling.

Thanks for all your help. x
