theDIBB - Barkers go Westside April 2018 : Day Eight

I'm so sorry it has been soooooo long since my last one I can't believe how quickly the time flies!

This was our first full day in Vegas, we had a fairly good sleep although we did get woken up in the early hours by people returning to their rooms but I guess you have to expect this in Vegas. We had some snacks we had brought with us for breakfast. I had some fruit and Darren had croissants. As I refused to pay the steep price for a fridge we were limited as to what we could have. We lazed around for a while watching Tv and ended up leaving the room at 11am.

It was hot already and as we were walking from the Luxor towards Bellagio it was hard going with all the up and down of the stairs. Although it doesn't look that far it is here. We kept popping into hotels to cool down!

Cosmopolitan

I popped into Ross for less as had been to these stores in Orlando. I love them as I like to rummage for a bargain. I got a very cute dress for $12.99.

As we hadn't eaten much for breakfast it didn't take too long to get hungry. We chose Margaritaville. I like it here as they are great with my diet and loads of choice. We were seated straight away and this time no outbreak of crazy bikini dances :d: We shared a turkey and ham sandwich with fries. It was a large meal so filled us up.

We visited the flamingo park, although it was small I loved it. It was a calm oasis in the crazy strip. We spent an hour here relaxing and watching the animals and it was free!

We popped into Caesars palace to look at the shops. They were very expensive so just window shopping.

I liked the décor of this hotel and the fish tanks by cheesecake factory.

I was getting really thirsty so popped into Planet Hollywood for a quick drink.

We walked back to the Luxor to get changed. We had booked a table at the Mon Ami Gabi so wanted to get dressed up. We walked back to the Paris Hotel. We had a table inside as we booked it late so no tables outside.

Darren had roast chicken and I had skate wing. I was really disappointed with mine the fish wasn't amazing maybe cooked from frozen. They also had no desserts for me. Also towards the end of our dinner the fire alarm went off. No one said anything and after 5 minutes and no signs of it stopping we paid and left.

We went back to the casino at the Luxor. Neither of us really know how to play the slots and tables so played a few machines. Needless to say we didn't win anything.

We done 25,000 steps as walked up and down the strip twice. We watched some more tv before bed then had a early night as we were being picked up early for the cannon tour tomorrow.
