What do Dibbers pay for Car Insurance?
I'm figuring one of the few advantages of age is Car Insurance.
Everything else sucks. Knocks and injuries that took days/weeks to heal now take months/years. Daughter's almost a teenager, filling me with dread. Less and less able to lose myself in a book, almost completely lost my old artistic bent - work pummels the imagination out of you. Tell anyone you play x-box and they can't get past visions of ten year olds on Fortnite swearing into headsets. Say you're going to Disney (again) and most think "oh, your little one not grown out of that yet?"... it's as much for me, dammit! ;) See, it all sucks. Apart from Car insurance - less than three hundred quid for a Group 50 car? I'll have some of that, thanks  (63 plate UK Camaro V8 Convertible, and I'm 45, btw) (seeing some of the prices quoted to my niece as a 17y/o Provisional, I feel for the young having to insure a car today) Any care to share (rough) age, and insurance cost? |
27 - £550ish
I thought this was a little high tho? But perhaps not. |
52 just over £400, 5 year old Peugeot 308, licence for over 30 years, no endorsements or claims but unfortunately live in a cash for crash hotspot.

I'm £409 for a 2007 WV Touareg.and I'm 47. At 17 (5 years ago) my sons insurance was £1300 and daughters was £900 (3 years ago) which I don't think is too bad. I get crazy prices for mine when I try to add my son to my car as a named driver (more for emergencies) - maybe when he's 25 I will add him😀

Was paying around the £450 for years for a bmw 5 series and vw golf gti on a dual policy with admiral .
We both have company cars now so don't personally pay a policy The biggest factor is your postcode risk rating if you have a ncb of greater than 5 years... |
I think it was about £330 - Top of the range 2.5l Ford Kuga for a 27 year old. 10 years no claims bonus. Looking at the other quotes on here that looks low!

I’m 29 with a 4 year old Hyundai i10 and have just paid £300. It was £200 last year for my 7 year old i10 but someone crashed in to me and wrote that off in November
I was with Admiral and stayed with them this year as they were brilliant dealing with the accident. I’d highly recommend them. |
