SSR final confirmation
 

Hi all,


Booked to go SSR April 24th. I know it's a Disney vacation club resort and final allocation comes later for some reason? Does anybody know when I should get my confirmation as the travel agent said I will get my number to link it to MDE when final confirmation comes

Not sure who you booked with but we cancelled our booking about 2 weeks ago with ATD as they were not able to book us in at SSR for the 24th April I did get our deposit back, had to change the plans and book something else as I was getting ready to book the flights. We could get a Villa in OWK but not SSR its not even showing on Disneys site to book as yet. Hope you get sorted out we could have waited but just wanted every booked and confirmed.

its 330 days beforehand so you should have had it confirmed by now

The reason it's 330 days is because that's when SSR Owners can book their stays, only a very small % (5) are cash inventory so Disney depend on the rest being fed back into the system with owners not booking. There is also the added problem that the Resort is just starting a major re-furb so this will also affect room availability.
I'd call my TA as you should have heard by now one way or the other

Has anyone recd confirmation for SSR or OKW for May2020 studios?
We want to change current bookng to one of these resorts but nothing on offer despite being well within 320 days.m

Please note the refurb is underway at SSR and two whole blocks of rooms are being taken out at once. That is quite a lot of rooms and is anticipated to impact on cash availability as they have to have enough rooms for the members.

Do you know what area they are working on now. We check in on 1 Aug and have asked for paddock, hopefully there will be enough availability there

It is Congress Park. If you look over on the DVC section there’s a thread on it. The whole thing will take about 3 years, but the new rooms look amazing.
