Rhodes - anyone been?

Booked a week in Rhodes, booked last minute to avoid any last minute lockdowns or restrictions etc.
HOPE we are OK for this Saturday! :confused2

Adult only 5 star on the beachfront. Reviews are very good, and the recent ones are good too since the new measures have been in place :thumbs-up.
Fingers crossed we get to go, 3 holidays , 2 to Florida, so far this year knobbled by the virus!

Anyone been to Rhodes before and can suggest the must sees and dos, anything off the beaten track anyone can suggest?
We are having a car for the week and plan to explore, exploring is our thing anyway but moreso at these times as we can distance ourselves better if needs be.

Thanks in advance :wavey:

We loved Rhodes when we went a few years ago. We was in Lindos and it was gorgeous. We got a bus into the main town, had a lovely lunch and went up to the Acropolis. We went on a Sunday and it was actually free to get in. Walk up was ok, walk down was a bit steeper.
Hope you have a great time.

One of my fav places is Pefkos, Lindos is gorgeous too. Where are you staying?

Lindos is lovely to walk around.

We also enjoyed the Valley of the Butterflies (Petaloudes) and there's a nice small monastery at the top of the walk to have a look at. From memory they were selling fried dough balls there.

Hi. Have a trip to Prasonisi Beach. It’s at the bottom of Rhodes where the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas collide. The kite surfers are amazing to watch.

As others have said Lindos and up to the acropolis, although it’s a stinky walk from all the donkey poo. And very hot in Aug, take plenty of water.
Rhodes town is also very nice, the Grand masters palace is worth a visit and an evening meal overlooking the old town square was lovely.
Kalithea springs was quite nice but you either need water shoes or be happy to enter the sea into deep water as it’s very uncomfortable underfoot.
Have a great time.

As above, we loved Kalithea Springs. We also loved exploring the beaches - Ladiko was amazing.

We stayed in Pefkos and loved it.

Agree with Lindos, Prasonisi beach, and valley of the butterflies, also Rhodes town. Aim to stay after dark, its beautiful when all the shops and restaurants are lit up. We also went to a water park in Faliraki, which was quite good and surprisingly quiet.

Thank you for all these great ideas!
I've looked them all up on and seen where they are on a map.
I feel like we have plenty to entertain us in the way of exploring for the week now! :cool2::grin:

Jakey Neverland - We are staying at the Atlantica Imperial Resort :wavey:
