What to do about October Half term

We have a trip booked at NBP club for October half term all fully paid for, flights are with Easyjet. It's meant to be a birthday pressie for my 2 girls.

Given there is no sign of any changes to the quarantine restrictions and the fact that my girls need to go to school (they're in years 8 & 5) do you think its time to face the music and just cancel?:(

What are others doing about planned trips this side of the year?

We cancelled ours for next week a couple of weeks ago - we can quarantine here easily enough but just didn’t feel comfortable going with everything going on and lockdowns being threatened all over the place and the FCO advice still being in place. Being in DLP itself didn’t worry us so much tbh, as I imagine it’s so quiet there it’s probably fine, it was more everything else around it that put us off (getting to St Pancras, third hotel change in two months, cases going up here etc)

I’m going to give it two weeks and if the quarantine is still in force the it’ll be a cancel. What a rotten year. It would be so nice to have this to look forward to.
