Coming into the US I would say no - been to Miami a few times last year for work and always crazy wait times at immigration

Hi Jess, if entering the US I'd not risk it unless you don't mind going on the wait list should you miss your connection, check the onward airline site for later flights. Leaving the US we'd be comfy with a 1.50 hours layover.

Yes entering and going into the Cayman Islands.
It's a work flight and they have organised it.

Is it a Thomas Cook flight by any chance ?

- if it is don't take it as gospel that they will put your bags all the way through to GC because they told us they would be... but found them abandoned, by chance, in the baggage reclaim hall !? Also if you happen to miss your flight they offer no assistance at the airport so have a back up plan and remember their UK help line does not open until 8am UK time ! :mad2:

PS Grand Cayman is lovely - we got married there off our Disney cruise 10 years next Feb., and have been back since several times.

Hope you get some beach time :wavey:

There are plenty of flights per day MIA to GCM -both AA and Caribbean Airways fly there - and unlike Thomas Cook, both those airlines have permanant staff at MIA that would assist you.:)
