No more characters in hotels from Nov :(
 

I have just seen on the Inside DLParis Facebook page that from November the characters will no longer do meet and greets at the hotels, what a shame :(

That's ridiculous... bad move DLP

I wonder why? Get people into the park faster/longer?

I have just seen this too.

The hotels at dlp are not exactly Disneyish, even with the odd picture or character bedding. Having the characters within the hotel makes it feel much more part of the magic.

If the characters are removed it leaves proximity to the parks as the only benefit to paying a huge amount more than offsite.

If the characters leave Disney leaves. :o(

If this happens I will be grumpy & Disney will be dopey. Lol

Is that from November this year? Is it permanent or just over the winter period?

From what I can tell, they won't be back. Apparently dlp want to be like the other Disney resorts. No other Disney resort had characters in the hotels.
As far as I can tell they need to make quite a few more changes if they aspire to be more like the other resorts.

I love dlp but this is a bad move. It would be quite as bad if they were actually adding things not just taking them away.

Val d'europe it is then. When we can get the free shuttle there or train back to a room that is far cheaper with better facilities in the same amount of time why stay onsite. The hotels are no more disney than a holiday inn :(

Interesting. What about perks such as SL GF breakfasts with characters? That would sway my decision on GF vs HNY for instance.

That's a real shame...we always got up early to go meet them in reception,very civilised with no pushing and a photographer to take group photos. This will be a big miss.

This is such a stupid idea the hotels at WDW are nothing like the ones at DLP.
Looks like our Cheyenne stay next feb will be our last in site.
Shame on you DLP :angry:
