You do not need to pay the full balance up front with Thomas cook. You actually have several options for booking with them, including the usual deposit and 12 weeks balance due option.

I’m keeping an eye on it but not quite ready to lose the £250x4 deposit. I’ll hold out as long as possible as if they go bust, a full refund is guaranteed anyway.
