That's all well if you have enough funds to rebook at such short notice. Most people wont.
We too lost out back in 2008 when XL/TCD went under with less than 12 hours before our scheduled departure...

I am only saying and interpreting what I've seen and read. I agree in part to what you are saying, but it is a very grey area until details are announced probably next week.

Yes only the flight bookings if they buy the airline. As far as I am aware no body is buying the Package Holiday side of things. TC is going to separate out and sell its airline operations only...

But if VA or whoever else do buy TC airline business, then people with TC package holidays including hotels or villas will lose...

Looks like TC are going in full panic mode now, think people with holidays booked with them seriously need to way up up the cost of cancelling and try moving to a cheaper different operator or take...
