Car Hire - Number of cases

We are driving (4 people) from Anaheim to SF, via Yosemite and Monterey.
We want a car that will easily hold 4 medium cases plus odd and ends.

We've just booked for next year! Thomas Cook from Manchester to Los Angeles and back from San Francisco.

No real plan, although Anaheim for 4 days and finishing with 5 days in SF.
