I’ve used VRBO several times. They’re part of the Expedia Group, which might give some reassurance. All the houses I’ve rented have been fine, although I do look for ones with v good reviews.

I just drove from J2 to J8 and the motorway was pretty empty. Signs said there was a 10 min delay between J9 and J10, so hopefully not too bad for anyone travelling late in the evening.
